Discover the Grand Raid Ventoux by UTMB: A Historic Race on the “Giant of Provence”
Get ready for the Grand Raid Ventoux by UTMB, happening April 25th to 27th, 2025, in beautiful Provence, France. Although it debuts in the UTMB World Series, the event already has nearly 30 years of history. Over the past decade, Team Sports 84 has expertly organized the event, raising funds for a firefighter charity. This strong commitment to solidarity has been central to the event’s values from the very beginning.
Embrace the Challenge
The legendary Mont Ventoux, known as the “Giant of Provence,” takes center stage for this remarkable event. Races will start and finish in the charming commune of Malaucène nestled at the mountain’s base. Participants will explore stunning Provence landscapes, traversing vineyards, hilltop villages, and 16 communes rich in cultural and natural heritage.
The Grand Raid Ventoux by UTMB includes four diverse race formats for all ability levels:
– **GRV – 100M:** 124 km with 6,500m elevation gain (D+), starting on Friday, April 25th, at 23:59.
– **GRV – 100K:** 89 km with 4,600m D+, starting Saturday, April 26th, at 08:30.
– **GRV – 50K:** 49 km with 2,200m D+, starting Saturday, April 26th, at 07:00.
– **GRV – 20K:** 28 km with 1,200m D+, starting Sunday, April 27th, at 08:30.
